Old - 久的Enteprise Console主機。
New - 新的Enteprise Console主機。
1. Backup the certauthstore registry key on "Old".
- Export the "Certification Manager" registry key:
HKLM\Software\Sophos\Certification Manager\
from "old" to the a file, e.g. cert.reg
2. Stop the router and management service on "old". (START | RUN | services.msc)
On "old" stop the "Sophos Management Service"
On "old" stop the "Sophos Message Router"
3. Run backupdb.bat on "old" output to (for example) oldsophos3.bak (START | RUN | cmd)
- Navigate to C:\program files\sophos\enterprise console\db\ in a command window. (cd C:\program files\sophos\enterprise console\db\ )
run
backupdb.bat oldsophos3.bak
This should create a backup of the database first and place the generated db on the same directory, they can always restore this using restoredb.bat
4. Import the cert key into the "new" machine.
- On "new" import this reg file cert.reg.
Note: It is important the registry file is imported first before the install.
5. Install on "new"
Install SES on "new" (complete install) include creating the CIDs
N.B. Don't protect the machine with SAV as the machine's info in the database will be lost, when the database data is migrated over. It would be better to perform this later.
6. run dackupdb.bat on new, so we have a backup of a fresh db (newsophos3.bak)
- Navigate to C:\program files\sophos\enterprise console\db\ in a command window.
run
backupdb.bat newsophos3.bak
7. On "new" run "restoredb oldsophos3.bak sophos" (make sure the oldsophos3.bak is copied across from the "old" from step 3)
(START | RUN | cmd)
- Navigate to C:\program files\sophos\enterprise console\db\ in a command window.
run
restoredb oldsophos3.bak sophos
8. Relaunch Enterprise Console and re-protect all PCs.
